Don't let them take your treasure!! You need that for interest payments.
This is a submission for the annual Autumn Lisp Game Jam. The development was based on Phil Hegelberg's approach to last Aprils Jam, using love2d in concert with fennel. Phil outlines his approach on his blog. The game has been compiled for Windows Mac and Linux, view the submission at itch.io. Plot
You play as a proto slime who has graduated from a four year collage degree in blob studies. Unable to pay your debts, and with lone sharks at your door ready to "pop your bubble" if you can't pay up, you come up with the brilliant idea of putting your remaining assets (100 coins) into a chest in a deep dark dungeon, with the hope of alluring treasure hunters whom you can burgle and murder. If you and your progeny can raise the 20,000 coins you need you are free to go, bubble intact.
Mechanics

is your friend. Or, at least it makes your friends. Press it when you're at full health and you have plenty of space around you. Do note that it will damage you significantly, but some sacrifices have to be made in life.
Combat
Each hero has an attack and a defense represented by a A/D over their heads. The attack indicates how many strikes they can deal out each tick. These strikes are dealt out at random to all engaged slimes. The defense indicates how many slimes they can defend against before they start taking damage. Make sure that you always have more slimes attacking a hero than its defense.
