Combined Arms Pixelated Hexagons
Combined Arms Pixeleated Hexagons (CAPH) is a turn based strategy combat game. Take your army and out co-ordinate your opponents.
This game is a work in progress. Please share screenshots of any crashes you encounter.
The goal of the game is to get your logistics units to the objective area. In versus, the goal is to have the greatest number of logistics units around the objective at the end of each turn for five turns.
The game alternates unit activation.
The Controls
You can select units and options with Right Click when you are prompted.
To deselect the unit click the x icon.
Middle Click (Scroll Wheel) to pan the screen. Alternatively you can use WASD.
You can enable the in game editor using the keybind ctrl-1 (may be an issue in browsers). In the editor you can adjust tiles, features and units to your heart's content. To toggle back to the game use ctrl-3.
The Units
The game has 5 units:
- Infantry: Strong in defense when in rough terrain or cities.
- Armour: Strong in attack (they do three damage if they win an assault). No defense bonuses.
- Artillery: The only ranged unit in the game.
- Logistics: Not great in attack or defense, but is needed to win the game.
- HQ: A very strong unit that can also give special reactive orders to other units.
The Active Orders
Active orders are direct orders given to your units. Each unit can receive one active order per turn.
- Move/Attack You can move through friendly units.
- Fire In addition to damaging a unit, the Fire action can also pin it. A pinned unit loses its HQ order and cannot be activated for the reminder of the turn.
- Wait Sometimes you just want your unit to wait around a bit. Looking at you Logistics.
- HQ Give reactive orders to units within 2 hexes.
The Reactive Orders
Reactive Orders, or HQ Orders, are given by an HQ unit. They let your units react to actions. When a unit reacts it does not count as activating, so for example an Artillery unit with the Counter Battery Fire Reactive Order could fire twice in one turn.
- Overwatch: Shoot anything that moves within range. Available for Artillery and Infantry.
- Saboteur: Provides the chance to damage an attacker before its assault begins. Available for Infantry.
- Counter Battery Fire: Fire at anything that Fires within range. Available for Artillery.
- Blitz Move again when you successfully destroy a unit. Available for Armour
- WithdrawWithdraw if you are assaulted and lose, without taking damage. Available for Armour.
CAPH was written in fennel for the 2024 autumn lisp game jam. The code is available under the GPLV3+ and the art assets are available under a CC-BY licence.

it is frozen when i try to open the campaign
Should be fixed now. The AI was going rouge!
